Movment is Regenerating the Punk Era From Behind A Mask

Punk

Movment is rising back into the scene with their second album Transformation, they have released just a snippet of it with their EP We All Must Go.

Remaining ambiguous the duo has trademarked their white masks, their act revolves around performativity and connecting the consciousness to the lyrics. The ambiguity is felt throughout We All Must Go as it speaks on the journey of life, how we all have the same fate but follow paths of where no one knows the end. The pair are not only creating rock music but regenerating punk, as well as having elements of grunge that create the grit felt in We All Must Go.

“We All Must Go is a song with a simple message – we are all eventually going to leave this life. But it not particularly negative, it is about embracing the light. It’s an inquest into the journey to the big black river that awaits us, where it’s going, nobody knows…”

The band wants to show their perception of the world, but also wants to invite their audience to do the same, to speak up for what they believe in. From the guitar riffs to the electronic synths along with the angered vocals they can be placed into the neo-dirt punk genre, conveying rebellion through their lyrics to question the agendas of the 21st-century.

We All Must Go follows on from the two acclaimed singles Propaganda and Leave Me Alone, both of which have caught international attention from Brazil to South Africa and beyond. Both of the singles have beckoned the arrival of We All Must Go and the album Transformation. Movment is pushing the voice of millennials and anyone who questions 21st-century agendas to the forefront, making them extremely thought-provoking.

You can experience the album on all platforms on 2/12/21.

Kinky Dove ready to release new self-titled EP

blues, Rock, soundcloud

3 track release set to be unleashed on June 15th

scott_2

Born in in Australia but now living in London, Kinky Dove is the musical moniker of frontman Scott Wade and his evolving collective of musicians. Progenitors of gritty, driving rock, the group are readying themselves for a fresh assault on the music industry with a brand new three track EP.

Their particular brand of rock and roll, defined in many ways by the bluesy, post-rock growl of Wade on vocals, is currently in short supply both nationally and globally, and Kinky Dove are now looking to redress that balance.

For a taste of their punchy style, check out the video to EP track ‘Some Kind of Fool’, featuring an epic slap-happy montage of Hollywood moments.

The EP also features a remix/cover version of classic 1978 track ‘Another Girl Another Planet’ by The Only Ones – in this case titled simply ‘Another Girl’.

There is also a trance remix of ‘It’s Called Heartache’ on the EP. You can find the video for this at

The EP is online at

Produced by Chris Kimsey, previously of Olympic Studios, the EP marks Kinky Dove out as one of a few unique rock bands on the scene. Fans of Scott Wade and Kinky Dove before they began working together, the producer understood the style and heights at which the music was aiming, and helped mould that vision into the musical reality that Kinky Dove has become.

The CD was mixed by Wade. Studio legend Phill Brown loved the sound of the CD, commenting that the mixes were “open and alive.”

The resulting EP is a continuation of form from previous album ‘Kinky Dove vol. 1’, and the latest step in Kinky Dove’s  climb.

No need to worry – These Raven Skies

Rock

cs1000_digipak

After signing an international distribution deal and getting signed to Blackstream Records, These Raven Skies created their own record label which will see the release of their debut self-titled album out August 1st.

First release, ‘No Need to Worry’, is an infectious rock track, filled with intricate guitar riffs and powerful, anthemic vocals. This track is inspired by a real-life experience where the band were involved in a bar fight to defend two female fans from some aggressive male regulars. In typical rock ‘n’ roll style, chairs were thrown, knives were brandished but fortunately the band triumphed!

You can hear the track here: https://soundcloud.com/blackstream-records/these-raven-skies-no-need-to

Formerly known as Dreams of Reason, These Raven Skies changed their name to mark a change in musical direction and maturity. This was encouraged by The Tea Party’s front man, Jeff Martin, who took the band’s demos and applied his own creative flare, adding eclectic world music elements and arrangements to develop an intriguing classic rock flavour. Not afraid to write a record with no restraints and consideration for convention, These Raven Skies took influences from the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Tea Party, Led Zeppelin, and Soundgarden.

Having supported established bands such as Korn, Billy Talent, Flux Pavillion and Buckcherry, it is no surprise they are getting recognition for their wealth of talent and energetic live performances. These successes have seen them headline major hometown venues such as The Republik! as well as playing local Canadian festivals.

After experiencing various personal tragedies, the band channelled their emotions and passion into their music allowing them to create a great rock album which is perfect for any rock ‘n’ roll fan.

These Raven Skies
Chris Perkins – vocals
Alex Whitcome – guitar
